（六）条件状语从句“如果，只要，假如”
条件状语从句分真实性（有可能实现的事情）与非真实性（条件与事实相反或者在说话者看来不大可能实现的事情）条件句。引导条件状语从句的词（组）主要有if, unless, so (as) long as, on condition that, so (as) far as, if only ( = if )。注意：条件从句中的if 不能用whether替换。
1. You may borrow the book as long as you keep it clean.（只要你能保持它的清洁）
2. So far as I know（据我所知）, he will be away for three months.
3. You can go swimming on condition that ( = if ) you don’t go too far away from the river bank.（完型：固定搭配，选condition）
4. If he had come a few minutes earlier, he could have seen her.（虚拟的时态很复杂，难把握！大家自己酌情处理吧，常用的形式有if sb had done，如果他做锅某事的话，表过去；if I were you， 表现在，if he should make a mistake one day如果有一天他犯了错误，表将来）
（七）让步状语从句“虽然，尽管，就算，即使，不论。。。”
让步状语从句可由although, though, as, even if (though), however, whatever, whether … or, no matter who (when, what, …) 等引导。注意：as引导的让步状语从句一般是倒装的。
Whatever ( = No matter what ) you say,（不管你说什么） I’ll never change my mind.
Whatever用不好的同学，用no matter也可以，这个比较符合汉语习惯。 “不管你是谁”；“不管你说什么”；“不管你去哪里”“不管是什么时候去”等等，大家必须会翻译。之前的四级里已经有考过一些。
还有一个非常重要的，就是whether … or。这个要作为以后的重点翻译句。
Whether is rains or not（无论下不下雨，）we are playing football on Saturday.
They’ll find out who did it, whether you tell them or not.（不管你告不告诉他们）
（八）方式状语从句
方式状语从句常由as, as if (though), the way, rather than等引导。
1. You must do the exercise as I show you. （翻译，做一般理解即可）
2. He acted as if nothing had happened.（重点，翻译和完型）
