Introduction
The China High Speed Rail Development Strategy Research Center of Southwest Jiaotong University, a response to China’s Initiatives on Building Silk Route Economic Belt and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.is a transnational, interdisciplinary, and cross-school research platform, The research at the center will focus on the issues concerning “Going Global Strategy"”of China High Speed Rail. We will choose such interdisciplinary and synthetical perspectives as Politics, Economic, Sociology, Anthropology, International Studies, Ethnic group Studies, Religions studies such as Islam, etc. Our aim is to build a new platform for international studies and social research, which would be commensurate with the leading status of Southwest Jiaotong University in transportation technology. Our vision is to make the platform become one of the influential national think-tank with Chinese characteristics.

Teaching and Scientific research
Firstly, your research should serve the strategy of Opening to the west, the Silk Route economic belt and the integration to the Eurasia.
Secondly, your research should be positioned to "going global strategy" of China High Speed Rail and discuss related issues, such as international politics, regional economic, and borderland social development.
(1)PhD.No restriction on Professional Title.
(2) Language skill is preferred: English, Russian, and other national language along the Silk Route country.
(3) Overseas experience is preferred: including cooperation with universities between China and foreign country. No less than six mouths.
(4)Majors preferred: International Political Economy/Developing Countries Research/Religion(Islam)studies, Ethnic Relations Research,
Sociology(City Sociology/
Economical Sociology/Traffic Sociology), Traffic History, Global History, etc.
